GEORGE

     GEORGE is an autonomous ground roving robot compatible with a multitude of surveying equipment attachments such as glass prisms, GNSS receivers, etc.

     Initially developed with airports in mind, GEORGE is best equipped to survey pavement surfaces. Exercising ever-adapting modern technologies, Tartaglia Engineering has developed a viable and novel approach to these surveys. GEORGE increases safety and efficiency while maintaining topographic point data accuracy. Our new process integrates and adapts existing conventional survey methods for data collection to create an automated operation.

     Safety is always the top priority at Tartaglia Engineering. GEORGE was developed by our team to reduce the exposure time survey crews spend on dangerous pieces of pavement. The robot is equipped with bright LED headlights, an amber beacon, and red tail lights. Kill switches are located directly on the chassis as well as on a remote control (used for manual control).
